Inspired by the Koru a Maori symbol for continuity and everlasting life this painting is created using oil paints, tinted shellac, and pigments. The Koru is based on the unfolding fern frond found in the forests os Aotearoa, New Zealand. Painted in 2010 and signed by the artist.

The paintings are layered and textured and sealed with a matt varnish. 
Painted on a stretched cotton canvas. Unframed with picture wire and hooks attached for easy hanging.
